Apien Crest: Banner of the First Regiment is a Side Mission in Mass Effect 3. Apien Crest: Banner of the First Regiment is about recovering a banner for a Turian officer in order to inspire his troops. Side Mission are secondary quests in Mass Effect 3, that are not mandatory to progress the game's story, but provide context and flavor by meeting interesting NPCs of all kind of Races, granting additional experience, and letting the player visit extraordinary and unique planets.

You have to listen to a group of three Turian officers chatting inside Purgatory. Listen to their conversation to acquire the Mission.

You can also acquire the Mission if you conduct a Search and Rescue conduct operations in Castellus. In this case, the journal entry is different, and the mission is named Citadel: Banner of the First Regiment
Apien Crest: Banner of the First Regiment Walkthrough
Travel to Digeris, the third planet in the Castellus system. Scan the planet in order to retrieve the banner and return to the Citadel. Speak to the Turian officer to complete the mission.
