Elcor are a Race in Mass Effect 3. Elcor are native species to the high-gravity world of Dekuuna. The Elcor race are massive creatures that stand on their four muscular legs that have immense strength and stability. In spite of their strong legs, Elcor moves slow, making them deliberate and conservative.. Races in Mass Effect 3 have their own agendas, culture, religion, ways to govern etc. Since Commander Shepard is inevitably Human, the approach of the other Races towards Humanity is most of the time visible for the player. Many of the perceptions some Races used to have may have changed thanks to the efforts of Commander Shepard in the prequels.
As the Elcor evolved in Dekuuna, they still possess immense strength despite their slow movement. On the planet, Dekuuna, prehistoric Elcor traveled in large tribal groups and was led by the eldest, most experienced, and oldest Elcor. Elcor has large, heavy bodies, thick and tough skin. When you see an Elcor within the Citadel, you'll see that they move around with their four limbs to support their balance.
Elcor also possesses three stomachs and their lips have multiple vertical slats situated in what is normally the location of the mouth in other races. Despite the peculiar arrangement, these "lips" are capable of holding on to protruding objects like cigars with no effort.
As per their ambassador, the Elcor who were trying to make their first forays into space travel is where they first made contact with the Asari. With the help of the Asari, they were able to discover the closest mass relay and were able to establish a regular trade route to the Citadel - this made the Elcor one of the prominent species in the Citadel Space who shares an embassy with the Voluses.
