Krogan First Division is a Krogan War Asset in Mass Effect 3. War Assets are all the resources and allies gathered by Commander Shepard during the journey to defeat the Reapers. War Assets contribute their Total Military Strength, in order to increase the Effective Military Strength, which determines success in the final showdown against the Reapers. Some War Assets can improve or decrease their Total Military Strength depending on some choices made during the course of the game.

The Krogan First Division is a conglomeration of infantry and vehicles hastily organized into a single coalition force. The chain of command is divided by clan, with representatives from each serving as officers. Despite ancient differences, fighting the Reapers together is building a spirit of camaraderie among the division's warriors. Krogan from different clans are starting to swap equipment, stories and even the occasional barrel of ryncol.
