M-4 Shuriken is an Assault Rifle in Mass Effect 3. Submachine Guns are one of the six types of Weapons available in Mass Effect 3 and they have an amazingly fast fire-rate but at the expense of accuracy. They are alsolimited to close- to mid-range combat only. Weapons in Mass Effect 3 are used to inflict damage to both Enemies or Bosses alongside Powers. Unlike the previous game, Classes do not limit the type of weaponry at your disposal.

As kinetic barriers have grown in popularity, so has the popularity of submachine guns. Manufactured by the Elkoss Combine, the Shuriken Machine Pistol fires six-round bursts with a high rate of fire.

M-4 Shuriken Location
Single-player:
The M-4 Shuriken is automatically given to Adepts and Engineers at the beginning of the mission "Priority: Mars". Otherwise, it can be found on a dead soldier in the security station. It is not purchasable from a shop if missed during the mission.
Multi-player:
The M-4 Shuriken is one of the five starter weapons. Upgrades are randomly rewarded through purchases of item packs. The Shuriken is categorized as common.
M-4 Shuriken Available Upgrades
Submachine Guns can have two active upgrades at the same time. In order to apply these upgrades, you have to do it at a weapon bench:
