M-55 Argus is an Assault Rifle in Mass Effect 3. Assault Rifles are one of the six types of Weapons available in Mass Effect 3 and they excel at mid to long distance combat. Weapons in Mass Effect 3 are used to inflict damage to both Enemies or Bosses alongside Powers. Unlike the previous game, Classes do not limit the type of weaponry at your disposal.
M-55 Argus Information
The Argus is a high-powered rifle favored by senior C-Sec officers. An excellent close-range weapon, its bursts of fire ensure ammunition conservation during lengthy conflicts. Other law-enforcement agencies across the galaxy are adopting the Argus as their standard rifle, as much for its intimidation factor as its suppression power.

M-55 Argus Location
Single-player: The M-55 Argus is available to all players who pre-ordered a copy of Mass Effect 3, except in Australia where the Argus was exclusive to EB Games and Origin. It is also available on the Wii U version of Mass Effect 3. An e-mail from EDI can be received if the weapon was obtained in this fashion.
It is also available in Mass Effect 3: Leviathan. It can be found in a shack on the abandoned ship during Despoina: Leviathan. However, it is not possible to acquire the Argus upgrade on Despoina for those that already have the Argus from a pre-order bonus. Subsequent upgrades have to be purchased.
Multi-player: Weapons are randomly rewarded through purchases of item packs. The M-55 Argus is categorized as rare.
M-55 Argus Available Upgrades
Assault Rifles can have two active upgrades at the same time. In order to apply these upgrades, you have to do it at a weapon bench:
