M-9 Tempest is an Assault Rifle in Mass Effect 3. Submachine Guns are one of the six types of Weapons available in Mass Effect 3 and they have an amazingly fast fire-rate but at the expense of accuracy. They are alsolimited to close- to mid-range combat only. Weapons in Mass Effect 3 are used to inflict damage to both Enemies or Bosses alongside Powers. Unlike the previous game, Classes do not limit the type of weaponry at your disposal.

Produced by Elanus Risk Control Services for the Eclipse mercenary band, the Tempest is an expensive but deadly addition to anyone's personal arsenal. This fully automatic submachine gun is punishing up close, but becomes less accurate at long range.

- Can be found during Tuchanka: Turian Platoon next to the Turianbodies after killing the first group of Husks.
