Quarian Heavy Fleet is a Quarian War Asset in Mass Effect 3. War Assets are all the resources and allies gathered by Commander Shepard during the journey to defeat the Reapers. War Assets contribute their Total Military Strength, in order to increase the Effective Military Strength, which determines success in the final showdown against the Reapers. Some War Assets can improve or decrease their Total Military Strength depending on some choices made during the course of the game.
Quarian Heavy Fleet Information
- Requires: Complete Priority: Rannoch. At the end of the Mission, you must choose the side of the Quarians or choose the side of the Geth and convince Admiral Gerrel to cease fire on the Geth Vessels. Taking the second option will also net you the Geth War Assets.
- Military Strength: 200
Any pirates or mercenaries attempting to prey on the quarian flotilla must contend with the Heavy Fleet's cruisers, frigates, fighters, and carriers. The Heavy Fleet is led by Admiral Han'Gerrel. The admiral firmly believes in the importance of ship maintenance and regular training exercises, and actively encourages those on pilgrimage to seek out technology that will upgrade his fleet's capabilities. As a result, cutting-edge technology is often found in the best of the Heavy Fleet's vessels.
UPDATED (If you supported Admiral Raan)
Military Strength: -10
The fleet sustained damage to several dozen frigates that were unable to repair themselves in time to avoid destruction during the war for Rannoch.
UPDATED (if supported Admiral Gerrel)
Military Strength: 25
The Patrol Fleet sacrificed several of its ships to take the brunt of the geth's attacks on the Heavy Fleet, buying the Heavy Fleet time to repair its frigates and launch a successful counterattack.
UPDATED (If Geth heretics were rewritten during Legion: A House Divided in Mass Effect 2, and if peace was achieved or the quarians destroyed the geth during Priority: Rannoch)
Military Strength: -50
Rewriting the Geth heretics significantly boosted the processing power of the "true" Geth. Their increased strength made their fleets both more efficient, and more lethal, in battle.
UPDATED (If Geth heretics were destroyed during Legion: A House Divided in Mass Effect 2, and if peace was achieved or the quarians destroyed the geth during Priority: Rannoch)
Military Strength: 50
Deleting the Geth heretics depleted geth numbers, giving the quarians an advantage when their flotilla began the assault on Rannoch. As a result, damage to the quarian fleet is not as extensive as projections estimated.
UPDATED (If Geth have been destroyed during Priority: Rannoch and you have chosen the Paragon answer during the third interview with Diana Allers)
Military Strength: 5
Commander Shepard's interview with Diana Allers about the quarians portrayed them as a highly skilled war force. The confidence in their fighting ability increased the quarian Heavy Fleet's morale.
