Rachni are a Race in Mass Effect 3. Rachni are a highly intelligent, space-faring insect race that had been thought to be wiped out millennia before the setting of the original Mass Effect.. Races in Mass Effect 3 have their own agendas, culture, religion, ways to govern etc. Since Commander Shepard is inevitably Human, the approach of the other Races towards Humanity is most of the time visible for the player. Many of the perceptions some Races used to have may have changed thanks to the efforts of Commander Shepard in the prequels.
Rachni Information
The Rachni race is an extinct insect species that originated from the planet Suen that once threatened the Citadel Space two years ago during the Rachni Wars.
The Rachni are known to be intelligent and highly aggressive towards expanding and defending their territory. At some point, they were defeated and eradicated by the Krogan with the help of the Salarians
