How to Romance Samantha Traynor
Specialist Samantha Traynor is an Alliance Comm Specialist reporting under Commander Shepard aboard the Normandy SR-2. She is available for romance and a possible love interest towards a FEMALE Commander Shepard only.
Receive an Invite from Samantha
Players can meet Samantha during the early stages of the game, specifically after completing Priority: Citadel I. When you do find her, speak to her when you can and choose dialogue options that are polite towards her. Always check your server as well for e-mails, to officially begin making your move towards her, you need to receive an e-mail from her with the subject heading "Game Night" where she asks the Commander to see her during her off-duty hours. Once you've read the e-mail, Shepard can invite Traynor to the captain's cabin.
How to Lock in Samantha Traynor
Take a Shower with Traynor
Now, once Samantha is with you in your cabin, she'll comment on how your cabin is bigger than some apartments that she's seen, and eventually, she'll also comment about the shower room. Choose the option to have Samantha use the shower "How about a shower?". While she takes a shower, you'll be given the option to join her or just don't go in. Joining her in the shower will have you locked in a relationship with Samantha.
Events after Locking-in Samantha
Now that you've committed to having a relationship with Samantha, you've confirmed that she will be Shepard's love interest for the entirety of the game, meaning you won't be able to have another relationship with anyone else, besides her. One thing to take note of is that there are additional sequences and interactions with Samantha if you own the Leviathan and Citadel DLCs.
Priority: Earth
In the events during the final mission, Priority: Earth, Samantha will visit Shepard in her cabin on the Normandy where another Romance Scene will trigger and you'll have your last moments with her before the assault on Cerberus HQ. Make sure you choose the dialogue line "Yes I do" when she asks if you want some company, to make sure the sequence triggers. Before you start the last mission, you can speak to her again and she'll mention to you about her dream of wanting a house, a dog, and two children.
Final Moments with Samantha
After the firing of the Crucible, Samantha will be seen placing Shepard's name on the Memorial Wall. On the other hand, if you picked Destroy and your EMS is 3,100 or more, Samantha will smile and refrain from placing the plaque sensing that Shepard is still alive, and the Normandy is seen flying off.
