Scion Description
The Scion is a a Collector enemy force encountered only in multi-player mode from the Retaliation Pack DLC. They also make an appearance in the Armax Arsenal Arena in the combat simulator from the Mass Effect 3: Citadel DLC.
Scions are equipped with arm-mounted cannons, capable of firing a series of three explosive shots at a time, dealing AOE damage in large areas. The damage from these explosions are devastating, beyond that of the Atlas Mech's rockets, easily downing any entity caught within in three hits. At melee range, they auto-attack with their cannon arm, and can perform an instant kill by knocking down and rapidly smashing the target.
Scion Combat Info
Countering the Scion with timely "hit-and-run" attacks is an ideal tactic. This is largely due to the fact that Scions need a few seconds to hold up their arm-cannon before they can fire. After the attack, they momentarily put their arm cannon down before moving again. Choosing the right moments to stay behind cover and counter striking is crucial.
The Scion's most vulnerable part are the sacs located behind its back. Players may utilize distractions, such as Combat Drones, to open up a Scion's back to attacks by bating it to turn around.
