When is the release date of Mass Effect 3?

Mass Effect 3 was originally released on March 6th, 2012 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. A Wii U version of the game, was released later that year, on November 2012.
Alongside its prequels, Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3 will be released on May 14, 2021. The compilation of the three games is called Mass Effect Legendary Edition. It will be available for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.

 

What is Mass Effect 3 about?

Mass Effect 3 revolves around Commander Shepard, an elite human soldier and his journey to stop the Reapers, a highly advanced machine race of synthetic-organic starships, from eradicating all sentient life from the galaxy. It is a direct sequel to Mass Effect 2.

 

Can I import my Mass Effect 2 save?

Is there Character Customization in Mass Effect 3?

You can customize and create YOUR OWN Commander Shepard. Making every choice regarding him or her! You can choose the Commander's sex, and navigate through many sliders to make your character look as cool as possible. Besides Commander Shepard's looks, you are also able to choose one of the six available Classes for the Commander. This determines which Powers will be at your disposal. You are only limited in the Race department, Commander Shepard is a Human, for better or worse.

Do I have to play the previous games in order to get into Mass Effect 3?

Although recommended, you don't have to play the prequels in order to enjoy Mass Effect 3. Many in-game events, specially at the beginning, are created in order to let the player catch-up about what's going on in the Mass Effect universe. Keep in mind, that although it is not mandatory to play the prequels, it enriches the experience and allows you to experience it to its fullest.

 

Can I select the character I play as?

That's not possible, you play the whole game as Commander Shepard, as is the case in the prequels. You can, however, select two Companions to be part of your squad. 

 

What is the best class in Mass Effect 3?

There's no specific "Best class" per se in the game. Each one of the six Classes focuses on a different approach of the game. It ultimately depends on your style of play and what adjusts best to your strengths and weaknesses.
