Heavy Weapons | Mass Effect 3 Wiki

Heavy Weapons are one of the six available Weapons in Mass Effect 3. Heavy Weapons deal massive damage to Enemies and Bosses, but ammo is limited and can only be picked from the battlefield. Once the ammo clip is depleted, it will be automatically thrown by Commander Shepard.
