|Abilities||Grab, Post-Mortem Explosion|
Abomination is an Enemy in Mass Effect 3. Abomination will attack Commander Shepard and his Companions when they see them. Abomination is a Organic, and belongs to the Collectors. They are often equipped with the following weapons: N/A. Enemies in Mass Effect 3 are the primary obstacles in Missions and Side Missions, and they grant Commander Shepard and the squad Experience Points once defeated.
The Abominations are a type Husk developed by the Collectors, usually acting as frontline suicide troops. They are encountered exclusively in Mass Effect 3's multi-player mode from the Retaliation Pack DLC.
Heavily melee-oriented, they charge towards their enemies and grab on tightly before exploding at point blank range, dealing massive damage. Killing them will also cause them to explode, severely damaging any entity, allies or enemies, within the proximity.
An enhanced variant, the Possessed Abomination, engages in combat in a similar fashion, and explodes in a larger radius.
Abomination Combat Info
The Post-mortem Explosion can be be stopped if the attacker remove the Abomination's head. This can be achieved in many ways, such as landing headshots, heavy melee attacks to the head, or an Over-cover Grab performed by characters (e.g: Krogan) that destroys the target's head.
Breaking the Abomination's hold will also prevent the explosion.
